Photographs of the Mt. Rose Scenic Byway

The Mt. Rose Scenic Drive, located in western Nevada, is a paved 25 mile drive that begins just outside of Reno and climbs steeply over a 8900 foot pass called Mt. Rose Summit. From there, the drive drops down into the Lake Tahoe Basin, and ends in Incline Village, NV, at the junction with the Lake Tahoe Scenic Drive. As this drive provides superb views of Lake Tahoe and the Washoe Valley, anyone in the vicinity of Incline Village or Truckee should make the time to take this short drive.
