The Norelco Bodygroom - Review

On the previous page, I listed a number of reasons why a guy might want to shave off their body hair and how to do it…as well as how NOT to do it.

During the learning curve of figuring out the best way to rid myself of my unsightly rug, I learned quite a few things. One of which is…don’t use normal hair clippers…as it is a good way to lose some skin, or worse.

And the second on is this…use the Norcel Bodygroom by Philips…as this little “appliance” as they call it will essentially take care of whatever body hair problem you might have.

Since I’m rather sold on this product and use it myself, and now am feeling in sort of a strange mood, I thought I’d write up a review about it…if only because I have nothing better to do right now. To sum this article up…if you are sick of your body hair…get the Norcelco Bodygroom…as your problem will be solved.

Now…onto the review.

What the Norcelco Bodygroom Does and Does NOT do

• The Norelco Bodygroom is NOT designed to shave your head or your face. So ignore the idiots over on the Amazon site who write up negative reviews about it when they tried to do this. Duh…the box and instructions and the name itself all say body hair shave/trimming…not facial or head.
• The Bodygroom WILL either shave or trim your body hair. By shave…I mean it will shave the hair right down to the skin. By trim…I mean you can use one of the guide combs and trim your body hair down to either 3mm, 5mm or 10mm in length. And it is quite simple to switch back and forth between “shave” mode and “trim” mode too.
• The Norcelco Bodygroom WILL work on ALL body areas below the neck. Yes…that includes the genital region, the smelly armpits, your hands, your belly button, and…well…you get the idea.

How it Works

The Norelco bodygroom is a real simple thing to use…rather brain-dead, truthfully. Charge it up and start using it.

You can use it either as a shaver or as a trimmer.

As a shaver, the bodygroom works superbly. It will cut off all hair, even in those awkward places, right at the skin level. Really…it is just like using an electric razor on your face…it simply cuts off the hair quickly, effortlessly and painlessly…all without cutting up your vital parts.

As usual, it is best to cut against the grain of the hair. But, I also found that this shaver works nearly as well when cutting with the grain of the hair, or even across it. You just might have to do a second pass or use a bit more pressure when shaving with the grain of the hair.

The Norelco Bodygroom is both a wet shaver and a dry shaver. I prefer to use it dry, but there is nothing wrong with using it wet either…just be prepared for some additional cleaning of the foil over the head.
