How To Shave Your Body Hair if You Are a Guy…And WhySo…you are a guy. And if you have found this page…most likely…at least a part of you, is thinking that you have way too much of a rug on your body, and that perhaps….just perhaps….it might be time to do something about it. Well, you are not alone. And no…you are NOT weird, just a bit “different” perhaps, which is not necessarily a bad thing, is it? This same thing happened to me in late 2006. I thought on it, thought on it some more, delayed, procrastinated and still was unsure if I REALLY wanted to shave the body hair away. But finally, what triggered the “let’s try it and see what the hell happens” moment was a comment made, by of all people, my mother. While visiting her following her surgery, I stepped out of the shower, and she said…you have too much hair. Which, of course, made me believe that if my own mother believes I have too much body hair…crap…I must really look like a hairy ape. And, so with that motivation in hand, when I got back home to Reno in early April 2007, I pulled out the hair clippers I use to cut my hair and spent a long and strange hour trimming all body hair…right down to the feet…to 1/8 of an inch. Now guys…if it is the first time cutting your body hair and if you have lots of it…rest assured…it will take time and make one hell of a mess. No way to avoid it…sorry. Yet, when finished…I liked the finished product. It was a very odd sight seeing my now nearly hairless body. Sort of like…wow…I DO have skin underneath. And the feeling of the skin was even stranger…gone were the days of sliding my hand over hair. And I really liked that feeling. There was some benefits to this whole thing besides the actual look too. First off, so long messy shower stall…with hair all over the place. Secondly, if you are skinny like me, you can now take your shirt off without fear of making people around you gawk in sheer disqust at the rug you wear. Thirdly, if you aren’t bashful about taking your shirt off…without all the body hair, you can now get a very nice full-body tan…always a positive thing under the sunny skies of Western Nevada. Yet, there was a few problems, all related to how I cut the hair. You see, I used electric hair clippers…which work superbly for my own version of the military haircut. But…those massive teeth…and wide combs…always made me wonder a bit about what would happen if I somehow got my skin caught in the blades. You see, electric hair clippers are designed to shave your head…where the skin is very tight. Normal electric hair clippers are not designed to shave where the skin is loose…and can easily pull up the skin way to close to the blade, and sometimes pulling it into the blade itself. Pages: 1 2
