The National Auto Museum in Reno, Nevada, is one of the better tourist attractions in town that doesn’t involve gambling…or involve driving up to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra’s. The auto museum, as the name suggests, consists of several hundred old, historic and restored cars…many of which have been donated or loaned out to the museum (in particular, the Harrah Collection). Sierra Mountains & Washoe Lake

Washoe Lake State Park is one of the more popular parks in Nevada, and for good reason. Unlike many of Nevada State Parks that sit a hundred miles away from anything, Washoe Lake State Park is located very close to two urban centers…Reno and Carson City, to be exact. As such, Washoe gets a lot of visitors since it is so easy to reach..being right off of Highway 395 (the highway that connects Reno and Carson City). (more…)
