Last of the Trees Along the Monitor Valley Scenic Drive
It should be stated from the outset that the Monitor Valley Scenic Drive is NOT a place to go if you don't enjoy open, expansive views. This photo was taken just a few miles outside the town of Belmont. As the traveler ventures north from where this photo was taken, the traveler will not pass by a single tree for the remaining 70+ miles of the drive. So be warned!!
