About Wells, Nevada

Wells, Nevada is an interesting town. Located on Interstate 80 in Northeast Nevada, Wells to most people will basically resemble a giant truck stop. Two Flying J Travel Plaza’s are located there. Why lonely and isolated Wells needs TWO Flying J Travel Plazas…one on each side of the Interstate…I do not know. But it is there. A few hotels are also located in Wells too.

The actual downtown of Wells requires some effort to see but is well worth the one mile drive to the downtown. Now true…don’t come expecting to do much shopping in the downtown area. You see, the downtown area of Wells is in many ways ghost town…and is appropriately called Historic Wells. For those into history and unique sights, taking the short drive into Historic Wells from the travel plaza’s is well worth the trip.

Wells itself is located in a rather scenic area I think. The beautiful Clover Valley is located just a short 10 miles away. And the towering and very scenic East Humboldt Mountains are located right outside of town.
