Las Vegas Pictures & Photos

There is no question that Las Vegas, or at least portions of it, has to be one of the better cities in the United States to take photos of. True…it may not compare to say San Francisco with it’s bridges and ocean views. But for “unique photos,” Las Vegas in my mind is still one of the best places to go. The hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, especially at night, are simply beautiful.

And so, since I’m a photography junkie, I’ve taken quite a few photos of Las Vegas and have grouped them into this section of Exploring Nevada. Not surprisingly, virtually all of the photos are of the Las Vegas Strip and/or Fremont Street. The rest of Las Vegas is, well, I’ll leave it at that.

Las Vegas can be a REAL challenge to photograph as I discovered. It’s not that there isn’t enough to take pictures of…far from it. The problem is the neon lights, the frequent awkward lighting and, above all, the crowds. And then, of course, to take decent photos at night you have to run around with a tripod…which always makes me feel like a fool in such a busy tourist spot.
