Travel Log : How to Photograph the Fountains of the Bellagio at Night



Fountains of the BellagioThe Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has one of the best…if not THE best…free entertainment around, the Fountains of the Bellagio. Every evening right after sunset…in the pond that is out in front of the Bellagio Hotel itself…hundreds of high pressure water jets create a truly spectacular watershow. If you happen to be in Las Vegas, taking in this watershow is a MUST see thing.

The watershow happens every 15 minutes and runs to either 11pm or Midnight…I forget which. Each watershow last around 4-5 minutes. The fountains of water are synchronized to the music that plays…making for a wonderful and very memorable free event. (more…)

The Big Smoky Valley of Central Nevada is one of my favorite places in the state. There are several reasons for this…but the main one being is that the valley is gorgeous and serves as a gateway to the highly beautiful and accessible Toiyabe Mountains, which is home to numerous 4×4 roads as well as the Arc Dome Wilderness Area. Travel Log : The Big Smoky Valley of Central Nevada



The Big Smoky Valley is one of the big surprises that a person is likely to find when wandering around the state. I know I certainly was surprised the first time I accidentally stumbled into this valley. You see, I was returning to Reno from a week spent in Las Vegas. Highway 95 passes through the small town of Tonopah…which sort of acts as a travelers rest station and is a good place to get gas (just don’t try the McDonalds there…it is beyond terrible!).
