Lower Peaks of the Southern Charleston Mountains

The higher peaks of the Charleston Mountains are all forested. However, as in most places in Nevada, once you lose a bit of elevation and move away from the highest peaks, the vegetation changes from alpine to high desert…with trees a scarcity.
