Roads End in the Charleston Mountains
March 29th, 2009This photo was taken near the end of the road in the Charleston Mountains. From this location, many of the more popular hiking trails begin. Just be forewarned, to reach the peaks, you have a killer elevation gain. While the Charleston Mountains don’t have the lofty heights of the Colorado Rockies, due to their low base elevation, hiking trails tend to have significant vertical elevation changes.
