One Nasty Frozen TV Dinner : Lean Cuisine’s Orange Peel Chicken

How can anyone eat this stuff? More specifically…what on earth possessed me to buy this beyond awful TV dinner from Lean Cuisine aka Stouffers. I wish I knew…and I really wish Wal-Mart accepted returns on 9/10’s un-eaten TV dinners. 

Now, I do know why I bought this TV dinner. I can’t eat beef…and most TV dinners are beef. And since I can’t eat beef…I’ve lost over 20 pounds. Still, from time to time, it’s nice to have a quick warm up luch/dinner…and since I love most chinese food, I figured…why not?

I’m so STUPID.

So how bad is this TV dinner. It’s bad…real bad. The “orange peel chicken” tastes like nothing you’ve ever tried before. If you are looking for anything “even close” to the orange peel chicken you find in even a bad chinese restaurant, lol, well…you won’t find it here.

And then there is the rice…probably the worse part about this whole dish. This rice is awful. I love rice…and up til tonight I thought I loved all rice to one degree or another. Yeah, jasmine rice is my favorite, but I like normal white rice, wild rice, brown rice and the list goes on. But the stuff found in this package of Orange Peel Chicken…yikes…you call this rice?

Well, enough rambling. I feel better now knowing that anyone who happens to stumble across this review will save their money for bigger and better things…like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
